A wonderful open plan lounge area with views over the Brecon Beacons. Curl up on the comfortable sofas and chairs, maybe read one of the books you've found in Hay. There are plenty of games and magazines to while away a few hours or a selection of tourist brochures to plan your trip tomorrow. Need to check the opening hours of an attraction on the web? Use the guest computer, maybe check the weather forecast for the suncream or umbrella decision. One side of the lounge opens out to a glorious sunroom with windows on three sides, sit and enjoy the sun although you may have to make room for one of our two resident cats, who luxuriate in the sunshine. If you've arrived in the afternoon, we'll serve you tea or coffee here together with slices of delicious homemade cake, maybe a plump gingerbread or a mouthwatering flapjack complete with a chocolate topping or it could be a scrumptious carrot cake with bananas and cranberries.
Walkers - Two walk-in cupboards are kept warm by our heating pipes and are large enough to take a myriad of wet coats and boots. The next day you'll have warm, dry boots and jackets and maybe better weather?
Cyclists - We have undercover lockable storage for your bikes, together with a hose for washing the mud off them. There is a large covered area for those essential running repairs. Two walk-in cupboards make drying any wet jackets and shoes a doddle, tomorrow they will be dry and toasty, ready for the next ride around the Brecon Beacons. There is a cycle shop in nearby Hay-on-Wye that will supply any spares you might need.
